I have had a fascination and love for whales since I was a little girl. When I was 10 years old, I started a whale club (geeky, I know) to help raise awareness about whaling and captivity and to donate to an important cause. Now, almost 20 years later, the need for awareness is more important than ever.
Humpback, Minke, and Fin whales are being killed by fleets of harpooning ships in international waters, and the International Whaling Comission wants to make this legal (even easier than it is now) for whalers.

Why Whales deserve our help from being killed:
* These mammals are as (if not more) intelligent than human beings
* They live in family groups and form life-long relationships
* Whales feel pain and it takes hours to die after being hit with a harpoon
* Whales are endangered, and we could loose them for future generations
